Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974, Aviano Italy), American actress. Amy Lou Adams is famous for portraying naive characters that are engaging and relatable. Adams is born in Italy and her father was as a soldier in the U.S. military and she grew up within Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven kids. In the late 1990s, she began performing professionally and dancing in Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. Following her move to Minnesota and appearing in a mock-documentary film called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998) concerning beauty pageant contests. The film's debut on screen was an attractive, bright-eyed contestant. After that, she relocated to Los Angeles in order to pursue a career as an actor. Her husband was the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 until September 1962, and was the mother of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was caught by actress Norma shearer who signed her a contract work for MGM during the 1940s. She appeared in several popular films in the next decade, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis-film that was released in 1954).
