April Lockhart
April Lockhart (born July 4 April, 1995) started her musical journey at the age of 7 in which she began guitar and piano classes. In the seventh grade, April began taking guitar and piano lessons. The lessons sparked her passion to write songs. She spent a lot of time at 14 writing songs and practicing music. After a while, she began to go on trips with her dad and to write songs either in NY and LA. April added other themes to the song "Take My Hand" to help her the friends she had who struggled with concerns like peer pressure issues, or even teenage suicide. Lockhart, a popular lifestyle influencer, as well as working in partnerships with brands that are clean and healthy like Ilia, has built a large fan base. As a woman born with no left hand, she is a major part of herself. It's however not the only thing she has to tell. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook the fact that she has a disability. It also doesn't make it a point to emphasize it. What message is it sending? It's crucial to understand that each of us has multiple faces. Our identities are varied and we're beyond our body. Lockhart tells Lockhart via video "I don't think that should define my character. I don't intend to influence disability because I have so much more to offer." The issue doesn't affect my everyday activities. I carry on my business as usual and have come up with my own ways to adapt. It's an integral part of my life, and it's imperative to talk about it. Lockhart has been a great example to other women regarding self-acceptance. Still she admits she's gone through phases of her body, at times, not being confident in wearing certain types of clothing which showed off her arms. She wears whatever she wants and proudly posts pictures of herself dressed in outfits she picks out on social media. It's all a process is the key thing I'm not certain that you ever arrive she says about self-love. But, this isn't the case with anyone who has insecurities. It's essential to have those that know and appreciate you. They'll be the ones asking your: What are you think about?
