Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American singer-dancer and actress. Her initial appearances on Broadway include the productions Wicked Legally Blonde and Hair. The play You Can't Take It With You She was the recipient of the Tony Award as Best Featured actress in the Play. Annaleigh has been collaborating on projects with award-winning directors, actors, and producers throughout the course of her career. Ashford is next seen opposite Kumail Nannjiani as part of Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited Series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford is involved in Searchlight Pictures' horror film Dust which stars Sarah Paulson alongside Ebon and Moss Bachrach. In the form of it is a Hulu Original, the film will be a part of Disney DTC's platforms. Ashford is set to appear opposite Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in the March 2023 revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production is directed by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team that brought you Hamilton. Ashford played Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, which is based on the scandal which included Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp during the national crisis. Ashford appeared for two seasons in the CBS successful comedy B Positive. It was created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the famous Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Ashford, who is not familiar with Broadway won both Tony Drama Desk Awards as in addition to Outer Critics Circle Awards in her character of Essie. Her additional Broadway credits include Sunday in the Park with George Wicked Legally Blonde and the lead role in Lauren In Kinky Boots a performance for which she received another Tony Award nomination. Ashford is from the city of Denver native who now divides his time in Los Angeles.
